Your skin is prone to blemishes and pimples and nothing helps? Most of the time, the cause is to be fought from the inside. The body lacks vitamins, these can be absorbed through a healthy diet.
Certain foods are suspected of worsening the skin condition. Cow's milk products in particular can sometimes promote the release of talk gland stimulating substances. Meat, especially pork, is also thought to promote this. Arachidonic acid, produced from pork, eggs and fatty dairy products, can promote inflammation. Coffee and alcohol promote blood circulation, which promotes the formation of pimples. Recommended drinks are nettle and dandelion tea and, of course, water. No soft drinks or sugary foods!
Often the skin reflects the health of the intestines and liver. For a healthy gut, make sure to get enough fiber, like vegetables & whole grains. Fermented vegetables such as sauerkraut in the diet are also recommended. To stimulate liver activity, provide bitter substances, such as arugula & chicory.
It is recommended to eat fish twice a week, preferably omega-3 containing, such as salmon, herring or mackerel. Spices like oregano, turmeric and ginger. Plenty of vegetables, but fruit only in moderation. Meat should also be consumed in moderation. Besides impurities and pimples, an unbalanced diet with many unhealthy fats and simple carbohydrates also makes the skin age faster and look sallow.
